This zone will be an interactive space for more than 13,000 daily visitors to experience and participate in immersive tours for the conservation and protection of biodiversity."We will have a unique zone, with seven thematic districts, more than 220 national and international exhibitors and more than 85 popular economies and farmers' markets. With more than 350,000 square meters, the Green Zone will be the setting for seven thematic districts that will bring together more than 220 national and international exhibitors and more than 85 popular economies and farmers' markets.
Regarding the materials used for the construction of this iconic space, Prada explained that “the materials used for the adaptation will have a second life and the objective of measuring the carbon footprint and offsetting the effects are certified and are part of the commitments with the United Nations”.
In turn, Renzo Garcia Parra, leader of mobilization and participation of the COP16, added that "here we are realizing an initiative led by the minister, Susana Muhamad, which is to make the COP of the People and have more committed and genuine negotiations that will help us to take care of the life of the planet”.
Finally, for Minister Muhamad, the Green Zone is essential to make visible what it means to make Peace with Nature and to achieve a great coalition to face the global challenges of caring for biodiversity.
The People's COP, one of the commitments of the Minister of Environment and next president of the COP16, Susana Muhamad, will be materialized in this area to have spaces for the communities and all sectors to influence the negotiations on key issues to conserve the planet.
