Cali is ready to host the COP16. Thanks to the support of the National Government, the authorities have set up a strong security system, with 4,000 men in addition to the 6,300 men of the Cali Metropolitan Police; the city will then have more than 10,000 men and women in the specialties of surveillance, judicial investigation and intelligence.

In addition, the city will also have the support of 1,600 soldiers from the National Army, both special and urban forces. With these new platoons, security conditions will be guaranteed not only in the city, but also in the 15 districts of Cali, given that 70% of the city is a rural area and in some neighboring municipalities, such as Yumbo, where the blue zone will be located, i.e. the Valle del Pacífico Events Center, where the COP16 conferences and negotiations will take place.

In case of any security incident, people can contact the 123-emergency hotline of the Metropolitan Police of Cali. The National Police Intelligence Directorate's anti-crime hotline 3143587212 is also available.
